We’re all looking for ways to decrease our power bills. I remember when I was growing up and living with my parents, they would lower the temperature to what felt like sub-freezing levels in the winter to save money on electricity. It was horrible and I had to sleep with my jacket on sometimes. When I moved out into my first apartment I swore I would never freeze again in the winter. Then I started paying my first couple of electric bills during a particularly cold winter and realized that wearing shorts around an 80 degree apartment in the …

My GE ADER50LP Dehumidifier Review – 50 Pints Backed By GE Quality

The GE ADER50LP dehumidifier is the latest model coming out of General Electric. You can expect a durable and efficient unit to use in areas up to 1,500 sq/ft.

GE recently upgraded their entire line of dehumidifiers. Newer models include the ADER65LP which replaces the ADER65LN, the 50LP, the 40LP, and the 30LP. The number for each model indicates how many pints the unit can dehumidify in a 24 hour time period. The change from the N to the P at the end of the model number just shows that GE updates newer model with the next letter in the alphabet. I suppose they decided to skip the letter O though.
As for upgrades in features across the different models I really couldn’t find too …

My neighbor has a smaller room on the back of his house that has a lot of shade trees around it so that it doesn’t get a lot of sun. In the summer that’s usually great because the room stays really cool. However as the humidity rises, the room just won’t dry out without some sunlight shining in. So, I suggested he take a look at the DeLonghi DD45P dehumidifier. This model is perfect for the size of his room and the level of dampness and humidity already present.
He also wanted something hands off, …

The Frigidaire FAD504DUD dehumidifier is the latest and greatest 50 pint capacity unit to come out of the shop at Frigidaire. It is similar in many ways to the FAD504TDP with a few notable differences.

The FAD504DUD is more efficient than the older model. It is able to draw in more air faster through an improved fan system. This means your wet room gets dried out faster.

The newer FAD504DUD is quieter than the older model. This is because of the newer redesigned fan and airflow system.

The newer model has the air outflow exhaust on the top of the …

A Gun Safe Dehumidifier Will Keep The Rust Off Your Firearms

A gun safe dehumidifier is a must-have if you want to keep your firearms in top working condition. I have a list of the best models and what to look for when shopping.

You would most likely use the gun only once in a while, when you go for firing practice, hunting etc. The rest of the time, a gun is usually kept in a gun safe, which makes sure that your gun or guns are out of reach of children and others in the house. However, a gun safe by itself will not protect your gun from moisture, and the …
