The Soleus Air DP1-30-03 dehumidifier is a 30 pint dehumidifier that is perfect for small rooms, basements, and bathrooms. Find out more in my review.
If you need an inexpensive but very efficient dehumidifier for a space of about 400 square feet, then I have the perfect model for you. The Soleus DP1-30-03 is ideal for drying out damp rooms in your home that are not large enough to need a full 65 or 70 pint capacity dehumidifier. Why get a larger dehumidifier than you need? It costs a lot more up front and will be more expensive to run over time. A smaller capacity model like the Soleus can do the job just fine and you will be surprised at how quickly it dries your …

The Aprilaire 1710A dehumidifier will pull over 11 gallons of water out of the air each day and cover an area of 2,000 square feet. It’s a real beast, yet easily portable.
If you have a really large wet area or extremely humid conditions in your home, then the Aprilaire 1710A basement and crawlspace dehumidifier is the best option for you. There are not a lot of home models on the market that will handle 2,000 square feet and pull 11 gallons (90 pints) of water in 24 hours. You have to go up to much more expensive commercial or industrial dehumidifiers to get that kind of power.

Basement Dehumidifiers, General Electric »
The GE ADER50LP dehumidifier is the latest model coming out of General Electric. You can expect a durable and efficient unit to use in areas up to 1,500 sq/ft.
GE recently upgraded their entire line of dehumidifiers. Newer models include the ADER65LP which replaces the ADER65LN, the 50LP, the 40LP, and the 30LP. The number for each model indicates how many pints the unit can dehumidify in a 24 hour time period. The change from the N to the P at the end of the model number just shows that GE updates newer model with the next letter in the alphabet. I suppose they decided to skip the letter O though.
As for upgrades in features across the different models I really couldn’t find too …
Basement Dehumidifiers, Delonghi »
The DeLonghi DD45P offers 45 pints of dehumidifying capacity which will handle a damp 1,000 sq/ft room. Run a hose and the unit will automatically drain the water it collects.
My neighbor has a smaller room on the back of his house that has a lot of shade trees around it so that it doesn’t get a lot of sun. In the summer that’s usually great because the room stays really cool. However as the humidity rises, the room just won’t dry out without some sunlight shining in. So, I suggested he take a look at the DeLonghi DD45P dehumidifier. This model is perfect for the size of his room and the level of dampness and humidity already present.
He also wanted something hands off, …
Basement Dehumidifiers, Bathroom Dehumidifiers, Frigidaire, RV Dehumidifiers »
The Frigidaire FAD504DUD dehumidifier is an upgrade to the popular FAD504TDD, one of the highest rated models produced. Find out more in my FAD504DUD review.
The Frigidaire FAD504DUD dehumidifier is the latest and greatest 50 pint capacity unit to come out of the shop at Frigidaire. It is similar in many ways to the FAD504TDP with a few notable differences.
The FAD504DUD is more efficient than the older model. It is able to draw in more air faster through an improved fan system. This means your wet room gets dried out faster.
The newer FAD504DUD is quieter than the older model. This is because of the newer redesigned fan and airflow system.
The newer model has the air outflow exhaust on the top of the …
Basement Dehumidifiers, RV Dehumidifiers, Soleus »
The Soleus Air CFM 40 Pint dehumidifier is a fantastic, durable, and very affordable unit that is also one of the quietest on the market. It’s perfect for a humid bedroom.
Many times you don’t need a large capacity dehumidifier for the damp area you need dried out. For spaces less than 1,000 square feet, a medium or small capacity dehumidifier will work just fine. Many of these models are very inexpensive compared to larger models. One of the best of these is the Soleus Air CFM 40 Pint dehumidifier.

Basement Dehumidifiers, Buying Guide »
Basement dehumidifiers offer an efficient and cost effective way to dry out your basement. Check out my reviews of the best basement dehumidifiers.
When I was growing up one of my best friends had a nice big basement in his home. Back then, basements were at the height of their popularity, because they proved to be highly convenient and a true space saver. It was great to have a functional area under your house without having to build an addition. The problem though with many basements is that they tend to get very moist and damp. This is especially true in the high humidity summer months. Because they are below ground, basements will be cooler than the other parts of the house and that creates condensation …
